Find Meaning beyond language through art

Tapping into THE POWER of color, movement, and symbol for personal and communal TRANSFORMATION

welcome

I am using this website as a starting point for my journey as a (future) therapist, as well as a point of reference for my work and skills to date. I can’t wait to show you what I’ve achieved thus far, what I currently have to offer, and what comes next!

Artist statement

If you practice art, in any of its forms, you practice alchemy; and alchemy is what it has always taken and what it will continue to take to save us and our world. We and our world are worthy and in need of saving, not as the damsel needs the knight, but as the mother archives away a precious lock of hair from her child. It is only in art and alchemy that we can find and use such a dichotomous power - that which cherishes and so gently holds while also acting as the fire that strips away and purifies; catalysts both. This alchemy offers us the ability to scream out of one side of our mouth and breathe life out of the other.

Our world, our existence, is full of unjust systems, abhorrent iniquities, and violence. That same world is also the one who bears connection, the sweetness of pure love, of innocence, and genuine, earth-shattering joy. We must be alchemists! We must eat the former and hold that poison in our throats until it becomes the jewel we offer back into the world.

The way to maintain one’s connection to the wild is to ask yourself what it is that you want. This is the sorting of the seed from the dirt. One of the most important discriminations we can make in this matter is the difference between things that beckon to us and things that call from our souls.
